Residents Are Asked To Put Best Foot Forward In Walkable Neighbourhoods Plan

Cardiff Council is asking for residents’ views on a Walkable Neighbourhoods Plan which is currently being developed. The plan will identify improvements required to deliver a better walking environment in the city. A data analysis exercise has revealed that the best areas of focus for initial work are parts of Ely and Caerau, together with parts of Llanrumney, Rumney and Trowbridge. These will therefore be the pilot neighbourhoods to be covered within the plan.

Between the 7th and 10th of August pop-up consultation sessions will be taking place in these areas. These will ask the public to map barriers and potential improvements to the walking environment. More information about these sessions, together with an online survey are available at http://www.thinkark.co.uk/walking-consultation.
