I’m Commuting
Large numbers of people commute into Cardiff everyday. Most workers – between 76% and 84% – who make the daily trip into Cardiff from neighbouring local authority areas travel by car (Census 2011).
The city has a limited amount of parking for cars and the emphasis is on encouraging commuters to use active modes such as walking and cycling, and public transport for commuting where possible.
This will help to reduce pollution and congestion in the city and make it a safer and more pleasant place to be.
The mode pages on this site will help you to find out more about your options for sustainable modes, including tickets and routes, as well as park and ride and parking in the city if you do need to bring your car.
