Walking to School
The Government says children should have 60 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each day. This can be built it up gradually with six 10-minute bursts spread throughout the day.
Teachers say that children who walk to school arrive ready for their day and concentrate better.
Your school may already run a ‘walking bus’ or you might just meet up with your friends and neighbours to make the trip.
